We are an agency registered in Uganda since 2017 with a goal of “increasing the quantity of financing and resources available for grassroot agencies and enterprises”. The Consortium on a daily basis looks around to secure financing and funding for grassroot agencies and enterprises so that they can fulfill and sustain their development programs. We target Small/Medium development agencies and enterprises because they are the leaders in frontline development, unfortunately they are highly resource constrained.

Limited by their governance and organizational shortcoming, ravaged by the Covid19 pandemic and its subsequent financing restrictions and now hit by prejudiced statutory and donor policies towards such development actors – the small, medium and grassroot development partners are getting deleted from the development map – if not prioritized. And yet they are more grounded. If it’s a SACCO, it knows the seasons when its members are harvesting hence how much to lend, a CBO addressing sexual violence knows who and where the perpetrators hide while a youth pressure group on climate change is driven by their lived experiences of what their flora and fauna used to be. Unlike bigger development agencies, these local actors are chronically available and never close to leave! That’s why to us, development without them is not sustainable.
1.To STRENGTHEN the resource mobilization and financing capacity of grassroot agencies, enterprises and groups.
2.To DESIGN concepts, projects and investment ideas for agencies and enterprises and also support them to secure grants and financing to be able to sustain their foundational objectives.
We collaborate with Associations, Forums, Cooperatives, Networks Local Governments and big Agencies and Development Partners BECAUSE our partners are Small NGOs and groups, SACCOs, SMEs, cultural, religious and Educational institutions in Uganda.
